*A wonderful person. A humble individual. A strong commander. A dedicated public servant.*
*Words would fall short to describe him. The nature deputed him into a situation where he had to tirelessly work round the clock for months. Yes, the Covid 19 pandemic is deadly, but equally powerful was the defender. He left no stone unturned to defend his city & its citizen*.
*From the time he assumed office, he first bowed down while receiving the charge. Then, he bowed down in service of people. He continued and instructed his force to join hands and request people to remain indoor for their safety during the lockdown. And he and his force remained outside to defend. He personally risked his life and underwent tests for 5 times. Yet, he didn't bow down to challenges and stood strong like a rock. Nobody else would have served better than him. Finally, he bowed down while handing over the charge to his successor*.
*Being a City's Police Commissioner is not easy. You have to balance between the legislation and execution. And the word "balance" here means sacrifice & patience. Mr Bhaskar Rao throughout his tenure set an example of public service.*
*A visionary, yet down to earth human, he attended the needy and supervised people's safety. He guided, encouraged and supported anyone who approached him. He gave hope and motivation to the defeated. He made his force feel proud*.
*Police Commissioner change every year. We respect and salute every one's contribution. We remember a few who served selflessly and beyond their capacities. Likewise, Mr Bhaskar Rao will feature on the top of the list for his exceptional contribution & service, especially during the Lockdown*.
*As you bow down to exit your chair, the citizen bow down to you in spirit, for you have truly been an extra ordinary officer. You raised the bar of dedicated public service, humility, and public trust.*
